In the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, following the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, 25 new educational institutions and 36 preschools have been built over the past three years. This was reported by the Executive Authority of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
By the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence, 11 more schools and 45 preschools will be commissioned.
As a reminder, during a meeting with leaders and activists of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region in Khorog on June 28 of this year, President Emomali Rahmon noted that over the years of independence, 221 new educational buildings costing 500 million somoni, with 44,000 seats for students, have been built and commissioned in the cities and districts of the region.
During the head of state's working visit in June alone, 32 preschool institutions with 1,570 places were opened in the region's cities and districts.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, gave relevant instructions to responsible officials to ensure that 800 preschool institutions to cover 50% of preschool-age children and 1,000 secondary schools are built over the next five years.
