Sughd Regional Governor Rajab Akhmadzoda met with renowned opera singers Stefania Murino and Fabio Carreri, who arrived from the Italian Republic. This was reported by the regional administration's press service.
The regional governor warmly welcomed the guests and spoke about achievements in various fields, including culture. In particular, he noted that, with the support of the esteemed Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, palaces and cultural centers have been built in all the region's cities and districts, housing dance and vocal ensembles, as well as cultural clubs. The governor emphasized that the region's culturally minded residents and Tajik artisans always value genuine art and consider it an important part of spiritual life.
Italian opera singers Stefania Murino and Fabio Carreri noted that this was their first visit to Tajikistan and they were deeply impressed by the hospitality of the locals, the natural beauty, the historical monuments, and the majesty of the Sir River. They emphasized that learning about the history and culture of the Tajik people brought them joy, and they intend to promote the development of cultural ties and tourism in the future.
The artists arrived in the Sughd region to participate in a gala event dedicated to State Language Day, where they demonstrated their skills by performing songs in Tajik and Italian.
