On the evening of October 9, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, held an informal meeting at the city government residence in honor of the heads of state participating in the Second Central Asia-Russia Summit and the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
According to the head of state's press service, the event took place in an atmosphere of friendship, mutual understanding, and brotherhood, and became a true evening of unity among the region's peoples.
At the beginning of the meeting, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Russia in strengthening regional cooperation, trust, and good-neighborliness.
The evening stroll through the picturesque grounds of the government residence was held in a sincere and warm atmosphere. The heads of state were able to enjoy Tajikistan's natural beauty, clean air, and landscapes, and also visited an exhibition showcasing the country's natural and agricultural resources.
The exhibition was held in the garden section of the residence and featured produce grown in various regions of Tajikistan. Separate alleys showcased dozens of varieties of vegetables and melons, aromatic fruits such as grapes, apples, pears, and figs, as well as a variety of dried fruits and nuts, including raisins, almonds, pistachios, and walnuts. Citrus fruits and traditional Tajik dishes also occupied a special place at the exhibition.
High-ranking guests showed keen interest in each exhibition stand and noted with admiration the abundance, environmental friendliness, and high quality of the products on display.
The evening's guests were particularly drawn to the traditional dishes of Tajikistan. Guests were able to sample the finest examples of Tajik plov, sambusa, kurt, dried fruits, and sweets.
The event concluded in an atmosphere of sincere, friendly communication. The heads of state expressed their deep gratitude to President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon for his hospitality and the warm, homely atmosphere he created.
As noted, the friendship evening became a symbol of mutual respect, cultural closeness, and unity among the peoples of the region, strengthening ties between the countries of Central Asia and Russia.
