A ceremony summing up the results of the second twenty-day cotton harvest campaign was held in Sughd Region. The ceremony took place in front of the Kamoli Khujandi State Musical and Drama Theater, according to the regional administration's press service.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Sughd Region, Rajab Akhmadzoda, city and district leaders, representatives of agricultural departments, leading cotton growers, and labor collectives.
During the event, the results of the region's cotton producers' work for the second twenty-day period of the harvesting campaign were summarized and the winners of the labor competition were determined.
According to the results, Ashta District took first place , demonstrating the best performance in raw cotton harvesting and quality. Second place went to Jabbor Rasulov District , and among rural jamoats, Ovchi-Kalacha Jamoat in Bobojon-Gafurov District was declared the winner .
Sughd Region Chairman Rajab Akhmadzoda congratulated the winners, presented them with pennants and cash prizes, and expressed gratitude to all campaign participants for their conscientious work.
The regional governor emphasized that a successful harvest is a key factor in ensuring the sustainable development of the region's agriculture. He also gave the heads of cotton-producing districts and responsible officials specific instructions to complete the cotton harvest on time, ensuring high quality and minimizing losses.
In addition, a number of leading farms and distinguished cotton pickers were presented with commemorative gifts.
Rajab Akhmadzoda expressed confidence that, thanks to the dedicated work of farmers and the responsible approach of district leaders, the region will fully meet its harvest targets and successfully complete the current agricultural campaign.
