Tajik citizens will be able to undergo medical examinations required for employment in the Russian Federation in Dushanbe. This is stipulated by an agreement on medical examinations for Tajik migrants, signed on October 8 during Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, Fergana.ru reports.
The document was signed by Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko and Tajikistan Minister of Health and Social Protection Jamoliddin Abdullozoda.
According to the agreement, the medical examination will be held at a specially equipped facility on the premises of a medical facility in Dushanbe and will be conducted in accordance with Russian standards. A repeat medical examination upon arrival in Russia will not be required, significantly simplifying the employment process for Tajik citizens.
Speaking to the media following Russian-Tajik talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that over a million Tajik migrant workers make a significant contribution to the Russian economy, working in construction, housing and utilities, and transportation. He noted that remittances from Tajiks provide important support for their families and the country's economy.
The Russian head of state also emphasized Russia's commitment to ensuring decent working conditions and social protection for Tajik citizens. The relevant agencies of both countries will closely cooperate on migration policy and labor force regulation.
The results of the medical examination conducted in Dushanbe will be included in the set of documents required to obtain a temporary residence permit in Russia (TRP), a permanent residence permit (PR), a work permit for foreign citizens from visa-free countries, a work permit for citizens from visa countries, as well as refugee certificates and temporary asylum certificates.
Thus, the implementation of the agreement will significantly simplify the procedure for the official employment of Tajiks in Russia and improve the safety and legality of their work activities abroad.
