The Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation, Radiy Khabirov, and his accompanying delegation visited the National Museum of Tajikistan, where they learned about the history, culture, and ancient civilization of the Tajik people. This was reported by the press service of the National Museum of Tajikistan.
During the tour, the guests viewed the museum's main exhibits, reflecting key periods in the centuries-long history of the Tajik people , the formation of its statehood, and the development of crafts, art, and culture. The delegation paid special attention to the unique archaeological finds, works of art, and tangible heritage monuments that testify to Tajikistan's profound historical and cultural identity.
Radiy Khabirov noted the museum's high level of organization and expressed admiration for the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Tajik people. He stated that the museum's exhibits provide a deeper understanding of Tajikistan's contribution to the development of world civilization and the spiritual culture of the region's peoples.
"Tajikistan is a country with a unique history and a great culture, which carefully preserves and passes on the memory of its roots to future generations. My visit to the National Museum left the most vivid impressions," Khabirov noted, signing the "Distinguished Guests" book at the National Museum of Tajikistan.
Museum staff gave the delegation a detailed tour, explaining the ancient cities and archaeological sites of Tajikistan, including exhibits found in the ancient settlements of Sarazm, Penjikent, and Khulbuk, as well as art from the Somonid period.
The guests expressed particular interest in the sections dedicated to traditional crafts, national dress, musical instruments, and paintings by Tajik artists. The delegation was also shown contemporary exhibitions dedicated to the cultural revival of independent Tajikistan and its achievements in science, art, and education.
A visit to the National Museum was part of the cultural program of Radiy Khabirov's visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. The event contributed to the further strengthening of cultural ties between the regions of Russia and Tajikistan, the development of humanitarian cooperation, and the exchange of experience in the preservation of historical and cultural heritage.
