President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
According to the press service of the head of Tajikistan, the conversation took place at the initiative of the Russian side. Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to Emomali Rahmon for the warm welcome and hospitality extended during his recent state visit to Tajikistan.
The interlocutors discussed specific issues related to the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit and outlined specific steps for their further implementation. They noted that the agreements reached create a solid foundation for deepening bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and other areas.
Particular attention was paid to the results of the Central Asia-Russia summit and the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, held in Dushanbe. The presidents noted their importance for strengthening regional interaction and expanding cooperation within the CIS and the Central Asia-Russia format.
The parties confirmed their mutual readiness for further joint efforts to develop Tajik-Russian strategic partnership and alliance relations, and emphasized their continued commitment to strengthening political dialogue and expanding economic ties.
