Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda met with Saudi Arabian Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih. The talks took place in Dushanbe as part of the Dushanbe-Invest-2025 International Investment Forum.
According to the Tajik government press service, strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries was discussed in detail during the meeting. The parties expressed their readiness to intensify cooperation to expand mutual investment and develop joint projects in various economic sectors.
Particular attention was paid to the creation of joint manufacturing and logistics ventures, which will increase trade turnover and strengthen Tajikistan's industrial export potential. It was noted that the participation of Saudi companies in major infrastructure and energy projects in the country is in mutual interest.
During the talks, the usefulness of holding regular meetings of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation was also recognized. The initiative to create a Joint Investment Fund, which will become an important mechanism for financing promising projects and facilitating the further development of the partnership, was discussed.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening bilateral ties and expressed confidence that the results of the Dushanbe-Invest-2025 forum will serve as impetus for attracting new investment and expanding cooperation between the business communities of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.
