On October 13, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to the Republic of Tajikistan Guo Zhijun met with a colleague at the China University of Science and Law, where he conducted an exchange and mutual learning in the field of rule of law and legal civilization, and also exchanged views with experts.
During the meeting, the ambassador emphasized that, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Tajik relations of comprehensive cooperation continue to expand. Particular attention was paid to strengthening the exchange of experience in public administration, mutual learning, and improvement in the rule of law and legal civilization, which, in his view, contributes to the construction of a China-Tajik community with a shared future.
According to Guo Zhijun, academic exchanges allow experts to become familiar with all aspects of life in Tajikistan, as well as with Chinese President Xi Jinping's ideas on the rule of law and the global governance system initiative being implemented by China. Experts are given the opportunity to study China's experience and its solutions, which could be useful in Tajik practice.
During their visit to Tajikistan, the Chinese team held several thematic academic forums jointly with the Tajik National University , the Ministry of Justice , and the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan . The forums included in-depth discussions on the development of the legislative system, the rule of law, the history and experience of reforms, and academic cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Tajik side noted that the exchange of experience and mutual learning have given new impetus to bilateral cooperation in legal investigations and judicial practice, and have strengthened friendship and humanitarian ties between the countries. The parties emphasized the importance of covering these initiatives in the media, including Tajikistan National Television and the Khovar State News Agency.
