Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan, Soleh Kholmahmadzoda, met with Minister of Labor of the State of Qatar, Ali bin Sameh Al-Marri, on October 16 in Doha, according to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Qatar.
During the meeting, the ministers expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation between the countries and discussed prospects for its further expansion, paying particular attention to issues of labor migration.
The parties discussed in detail the terms of the implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement on attracting labor from Tajikistan to Qatar, issues of compliance with labor legislation, working conditions, wages, and prospects for increasing the number of Tajik workers in the Qatari market.
The meeting also discussed mechanisms for ensuring the rights and social protection of migrant workers, as well as ways to deepen cooperation in exchanging experiences and improving the professional competencies of the workforce.
As a reminder, Tajikistan's Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment, Soleh Kholmahmadzoda, participated in the 6th session of the Islamic Conference of Labor Ministers in Doha, where current issues of labor migration and cooperation among Islamic Organization countries were discussed.
