The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has warned of a sharp change in weather conditions across the country from October 31 to November 4, 2025.
Rain and thunderstorms, winds up to 15 meters per second, and short-term air pollution with dust and haze are expected in the cities of Dushanbe, Bokhtar, Kulob, Khujand, Khorog, Tursunzade, and other districts of the republic. Daytime temperatures will range from 18 to 25 degrees Celsius, with nighttime temperatures ranging from 8 to 14 degrees Celsius. In mountainous areas, daytime temperatures will range from 3 to 10 degrees Celsius, with nighttime temperatures possibly dropping to 0 degrees Celsius or lower.
The Emergency Situations Committee recommends that the population limit their time outdoors during periods of dust, use protective masks to prevent exposure to polluted air, and exercise caution on the roads, especially during rain and strong winds.
Furthermore, citizens should not leave children and the elderly unattended, close windows and doors during strong winds and dust storms, and avoid standing under trees, power lines, and billboards. Emergency Situations Commission specialists strongly recommend following official announcements and strictly following the instructions of competent authorities.
In case of emergency, residents of the republic can call the single emergency number 112.
