The Tajikistan national team achieved a brilliant result at the Asian Powerlifting Championship, which was held in Ho Chi Minh City (Socialist Republic of Vietnam). Following the competition, Tajik athletes won five gold medals, confirming their high level of training and desire to win in the international arena.
According to the Powerlifting Federation of Tajikistan, seven athletes competed as part of the national team at the tournament, five of whom took first place in their weight categories.

The following athletes have won gold medals:
🥇 Umed Istamov – in the weight category up to 82.5 kg,
🥇 Farrukh Shakirov – up to 90 kg,
🥇 Parviz Nazarov – up to 100 kg,
🥇 Davlatmand Odinaev – up to 110 kg,
🥇 Kobiljon Khaitaliev – up to 100 kg (veterans category).
The competition was held under the auspices of the Asian Powerlifting Federation and brought together the strongest athletes from across the continent. According to representatives of the federation, the success of the Tajik strongmen was the result of months of preparation, as well as the efforts of the coaching staff.
Representatives of the republic's sports leadership congratulated the team on their high results and noted that such achievements contribute to the popularization of strength sports among young people and strengthen the international sports authority of Tajikistan.
