In preparation for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, construction and creative projects are being actively implemented in the city of Istiklol in the Sughd region. This was reported by the press service of the regional administration.
During his working visit, the Chairman of the Sughd Region, Rajabboy Akhmadzoda, got acquainted with the progress of construction of industrial facilities and held an off-site meeting at the construction sites of enterprises implemented with the support of domestic and foreign investments.
In particular, the regional chairman visited the construction site of the metallurgical plant of the Tajik-Chinese mining and industrial company. The project is being implemented with investments of 50 million US dollars. The future enterprise will specialize in the processing of copper, lead, silver and other non-ferrous and precious metals. It is expected to create about 300 jobs with decent wages. Akhmadzoda noted the importance of rational use of production capacities, timely commissioning of the plant and increasing the level of wages for employees.
The construction of the lime production plant "Okhaki Istiklol" is also underway on a territory of 55 thousand square meters. The volume of investments is 55 million somoni. It is planned to create up to 200 jobs. The annual production capacity of the plant will be 100 thousand tons of lime, the products of which will be exported to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
In addition, the regional chairman familiarized himself with the progress of construction of another enterprise, OOO Todzh-Ohak, which is being implemented on the initiative of a local entrepreneur. The project is being implemented with an internal investment volume of 1.5 million US dollars. The plant will produce up to 100 tons of lime per day, and construction work is being carried out according to the approved schedule.
Following the visit, the regional chairman gave a number of specific instructions to the leadership of the city of Istiklol to ensure high-quality and timely completion of all planned projects.
