The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Abbas Araghchi, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan on July 30. This was reported by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Shohin Samadi.
During the visit, the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry is expected to be received by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. Negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin, and a number of other officials of the country are also planned.
It is expected that the parties will discuss key issues of bilateral cooperation, including the development of political dialogue, expansion of trade and economic ties, as well as interaction in the areas of culture, energy and transport. According to the Foreign Ministry, special attention will be paid to the implementation of previously reached agreements and prospects for regional cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
The visit takes place against the backdrop of strengthening Tajik-Iranian relations, which in recent years have acquired stable dynamics at a high level.
