Dushanbe police officers have stopped another fraudulent scheme involving the posting of false advertisements for the rental of residential premises. According to the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a 25-year-old resident of the Rudaki district, Hasanova Nilufar, was detained on suspicion of committing a series of fraudulent acts.
According to the investigation, Khasanova posted fictitious ads on the popular Internet platform "Somon.tch", offering non-existent apartments for rent. Under the pretext of making an advance payment for booking housing, she received money from citizens through electronic payment systems, after which she stopped contacting the victims and used the received amounts for personal purposes.
During the operational investigative activities it was established that Khasanova N. used the following mobile phone numbers to commit fraud: 013388282, 938380590, 115116550 and 985500860.
Despite previously conducted explanatory activities and detentions of persons involved in similar crimes, cases of fraud in the sphere of housing rental continue to be registered. The capital's police once again call on citizens to be vigilant and not to transfer money to strangers before actually inspecting the housing and concluding an official agreement.
The Dushanbe City Department of Internal Affairs asks potential victims of the actions of Nilufar Khasanova to call the hotline: 018-02-02-02.
