In Tajikistan, over 107 tons of low-quality and potentially dangerous food products were identified and destroyed in the first half of 2025. This was reported by the Chairman of the Food Security Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Muhammadsaid Faizullozoda at a press conference in Dushanbe.
According to him, over the course of six months, food safety laboratory specialists conducted 550,268 laboratory tests of food products sold in the country's consumer markets.
“As a result of the inspections, 107,851 kilograms of products that did not meet established sanitary standards and posed a threat to public health were identified and destroyed,” Faizullozoda said.
The destroyed products included meat, dairy products, vegetable oil, fish, honey, eggs, pickles and other products unfit for consumption.
The Food Safety Committee continues to monitor and control the quality of food products in order to prevent substandard goods from entering the market.
