Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan on a state visit on the evening of July 23. The distinguished guest was warmly and solemnly greeted at the Dushanbe International Airport by First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Khokim Kholikzoda and other officials.
A red carpet was laid out for the welcoming ceremony, along which a guard of honour lined up. The airport grounds were decorated with the national flags of Mongolia and Tajikistan, portraits of the leaders of the two countries and slogans reflecting the spirit of friendship and cooperation.
On the first day of the visit, July 23, the President of Mongolia laid a wreath at the monument to the founder of the Tajik state, Ismoili Somoni, on Dusti Square in Dushanbe. Representatives of the Tajik government, including Khokim Kholikzoda, attended the ceremony.
The state visit of the head of Mongolia will last until July 26. The program of the visit includes bilateral negotiations at the highest level, signing of agreements on further development of cooperation, holding of the Tajik-Mongolian trade and investment forum, as well as events within the framework of the Days of Mongolian Culture in Tajikistan.
