The head of the Civil Service Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ilyos Idriszoda, said that it is advisable for civil servants to perform the Hajj after retirement. He said this during a press conference, commenting on the concerns of some employees of state institutions about the possible consequences of fulfilling their religious duty for their careers.
According to Idriszoda, the current legislation does not limit the participation of civil servants in the Hajj rituals, but he emphasized that, from his personal point of view, civil servants should focus on fulfilling their professional duties during their service.
"A civil servant must sincerely, honestly and transparently fulfill his duties to the state and the nation. And after retirement – please, go to Hajj," the head of the Agency noted.
He added that upholding civil service standards requires total dedication and commitment, especially in senior positions.
He also noted that such recommendations are not mandatory and are his personal position.
