In the capital of Tajikistan, police officers have uncovered a case of exploitation of young children by a mother who forced them to beg and wander. As reported by the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs, as a result of an inspection conducted by officers of the OMVD-2 of the Shokhmansur district, gross violations of parental responsibilities by a local resident were recorded.
"Citizen M.T., being the mother of two young children, systematically forced them to beg and wander, deriving material benefits from this. Such behavior had a negative impact on the physical and mental development of the children," the law enforcement agency said in a statement.
In connection with the revealed facts, the Sino District Court of Dushanbe, guided by Article 73 of the Family Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, decided to remove the children from the family without depriving the mother of parental rights. The minors were sent to the State General Education Institution "Boarding School No. 1 for Orphans and Children Left Without Parental Care", where they will be provided with education and upbringing.
The Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs emphasized that cases of forcing minors to beg and wander are considered a form of exploitation of children and are under the special control of law enforcement agencies.
