The international automobile expedition “Journey to the Heart of Eurasia” has been going on for more than a month. It was organized by the Russian-Tajik Business Council under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the International Center for Regional Integration and the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the states participating in the expedition, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
The expedition started on June 6 at the VDNKh in Moscow. The motor rally, almost 7.5 thousand km long, with events in 25 cities of the participating countries, passes through regions of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan. The finish is on July 22 in Dushanbe.
The participants reached the ancient Istaravshan, a city in the Sughd region of Tajikistan. They got acquainted with the historical and cultural attractions of the city, including the artisan shop of the historical and cultural complex "Kalai Mug", the college of folk crafts, and the industrial enterprise ZAO "Obi Zulol".
