Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir held a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular prospects for expanding partnership in priority sectors of the economy and industry. During the talks, special attention was paid to the development of joint projects in the mining and metallurgical sectors, including the processing of strategically important mineral resources and the modernization of the aluminum industry.
The possibilities of cooperation in the production of automotive components, the creation of industrial parks, the development of the petrochemical industry and the introduction of modern technologies in the field of alternative energy were also considered.
The ministers stressed the need to intensify the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, and also expressed interest in the earliest possible signing of a bilateral Cooperation Agreement between the relevant departments for 2025–2027.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted that strengthening industrial and investment cooperation will contribute to sustainable economic growth, economic diversification and accelerated implementation of innovative technologies in both countries.
