The internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan registered several tragic road accidents that occurred on July 12, 2025, resulting in the death of five people, including a minor cyclist and an elderly woman, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan reports.
Thus, at 04:00 in the morning on the highway "Dushanbe – Kulyab" in the Dangara district, the driver of a car with the electronic number "DONGEHG", Ilkhomjon Khasanov, born in 1978, a resident of the Hamadoni district, lost control, drove onto the side of the road and crashed into an electric pole. He died on the spot from the injuries he received.
On the same day, at about 1:40 p.m., in the Ayni district, the driver of an Opel Zafira, Bahmanyor Sokhibzoda, born in 1991, hit a pedestrian, Umron Arabekov, born in 1963, a resident of Isfara. The man died at the scene of the accident.
At approximately 14:10 in the city of Dushanbe, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus, Jamshed Nuruloev, born in 1983, ran over 84-year-old resident of the capital Mohira Mukhamadieva, who was crossing the road on B. Gafurov Street. The pensioner was taken to the hospital in serious condition, where she died four hours later from her injuries.
At about 15:30 in the village of Dusti in the Dangara district, the driver of an Opel Astra, Hikmatullo Vatanov, born in 1995, lost control and collided with another car of the same make, driven by Kholnazar Malikov, born in 1984. As a result of the accident, the passenger, Abdulvakhob Vatanov, born in 1957, died.
In the evening at 17:40 on the Penjikent-Ayni highway, the driver of a Chevrolet Cobal, Alisher Dzhalolov, born in 1973, a citizen of Uzbekistan, ran over 12-year-old cyclist Mukhriddin Sokhibov, a resident of Penjikent. The teenager died on the spot.
Law enforcement agencies are conducting investigations into all road traffic accidents and establishing the causes and circumstances of the tragedies.
