The Chairman of the city of Gissar, member of the National Council of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Nasirzoda Jabbor made a working visit to the rural jamoats of Navobod, Mirzo Rizo and Mirzo Tursunzade on July 11 of this year. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the current state of agricultural work in farms and collective farms, the city administration reports.
The delegation also included representatives of the city's agricultural department, chairmen of jamoats, specialists from relevant government agencies, including the Land Management Committee, the Department of Environmental Protection, and the Department of Land Reclamation and Irrigation.
During the visit, the Chairman and accompanying persons visited a number of farms, including those named after Haydar Mirov, Idibek, Kishovarz 2007, Khodji Muzaffar, Khodji Turdiali and Adiba 1999 in the Navobod jamoat. Similar farms were also inspected in the Mirzo Rizo and Mirzo Tursunzade jamoats. Particular attention was paid to agrotechnical measures for cultivating cotton, harvesting potatoes, melons and vegetables, as well as the course of re-sowing.
Nasirzoda Jabbor held talks with farmers, agronomists and officials on the ground, giving recommendations on improving methods of land cultivation, pest and plant disease control, as well as instructions on eliminating identified deficiencies.
After inspecting the fields, the Chairman visited the Sharafat sewing factory located in the Gissar town jamoat. He familiarized himself with the working conditions of the workers, inspected the enterprise's products – school uniforms – and discussed with the management the issues of timely provision of students with high-quality and uniform school clothing. Proposals were made to expand production capacity and improve the quality of products.
