A record number of graduates from Dushanbe — 35 people — were awarded gold medals and certificates with honors, the Main Education Department of the capital of Tajikistan reported . This figure became a record for the entire republic and exceeded the result of last year, when 27 graduates received gold medals.
The award ceremony for the winners of the competition for universal and specialized excellent certificates with gold and silver medals was held on July 13 at the Lyceum for gifted students in Dushanbe. Opening the ceremony, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahim Saidzoda congratulated the participants on their achievements. He emphasized that such competitions are an important part of the state policy in the field of education, supported by President Emomali Rahmon, who pays special attention to the development of the education system, improving the quality of education and creating modern conditions for schoolchildren and students.
The department noted that the implementation of the State Program for the Identification and Development of Talents for 2021–2025, jointly with the support of the mayor's office, created favorable conditions, thanks to which the capital's students annually demonstrate high results in republican Olympiads and competitions, both in terms of the quality of knowledge and the number of victories.
In recent years, many modern educational institutions have been built and reconstructed in Dushanbe, the educational process is equipped with advanced technologies. This helps to identify and develop talents, and also encourages schoolchildren to new achievements. 
Based on the results of the competition, 73 out of 120 applicants received excellent certificates with medals:
10 people – universal certificate with a gold medal,
39 people – a specialized certificate in the natural sciences and mathematics with a gold medal,
2 people – specialized certificate in natural sciences and mathematics with a silver medal,
19 people – a specialized certificate in the social and humanitarian field with a gold medal,
3 people – specialized certificate in social and humanitarian fields with a silver medal.
During the ceremony, the winners were awarded certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Students, their parents and teachers expressed deep gratitude to President Emomali Rahmon for his constant attention to the development of education and the creation of conditions for realizing the potential of the younger generation.
