The head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the country's largest energy facility, the Rogun hydroelectric power station, as part of an official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the hydroelectric power station.
During the visit, Minnikhanov familiarized himself with the progress of construction work, the condition of the operating units, and the technical solutions used in the further expansion of the station. As noted, the design capacity of the Rogun HPP is 3,600 megawatts, making it the largest in the region.
"Rogun is a symbol of the region's development and an example of engineering excellence. Tatarstan is ready to expand cooperation with Tajikistan in the energy, economic and industrial sectors," Minnikhanov said during a conversation with the plant's management.
At the end of the visit, the head of Tatarstan left a commemorative entry in the Book of Honor of the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station, expressing satisfaction from visiting the facility and calling it a symbol of the future progress of the entire region.
