In the first half of 2026, foreign investment in Dushanbe's economy amounted to 1.6 billion somoni . These funds are being used to implement major infrastructure, industrial, construction, and social projects, as well as to develop the city's engineering and transport infrastructure. This was announced today at a press conference on the socioeconomic development of Dushanbe for the first half of 2026.
As noted by the city's executive authority, creating a favorable investment climate remains a key focus of the capital's economic policy. Administrative procedures are being streamlined for investors, opportunities for public-private partnerships are being expanded, and projects to develop modern urban infrastructure are being implemented.

According to the city administration, the investments raised are being used to build new industrial facilities, residential complexes, educational and medical institutions, retail facilities, and service providers. The mayor's office emphasized that the implementation of investment projects is creating new jobs, increasing the production capacity of enterprises, and expanding the capital's tax base.
Dushanbe authorities expect to maintain high capital attraction rates in the second half of the year, continuing to implement major projects in preparation for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence.
