Tajik chess player Pairav Kodiri won a bronze medal at the 28th Asian Youth Chess Championship, which is taking place in Shenzhen, China. This was reported by the Tajikistan Chess Federation.
Hundreds of young chess players from 30 countries are participating in the competition. On the first day of competition, the participants determined the strongest in the rapid chess discipline.
Following the tournament, Payrav Kodiri, a representative of the Republic of Tajikistan, won bronze, earning his country its first medal at the tournament.
The Tajikistan Chess Federation congratulated the athlete on his achievement and wished him success in the remaining events of the Asian Championship, expressing hope that he will once again delight Tajik chess fans with new victories.
