In the Shokhmansur district of Dushanbe, 133 joint raids were conducted in the first half of 2026 to monitor compliance with legislation regulating celebrations and rituals. This was reported at a press conference summarizing the district's socioeconomic development.
According to district authorities, there are currently 309 public commissions operating in Shokhmansur that monitor compliance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Celebrations and Rituals."
Following the investigation, administrative violation reports were filed against three individuals. All materials have been submitted to the Shokhmansur District Court for review.


In addition, members of the standing commission for the implementation of Article 8 of the said law conducted inspections and explanatory work six times in institutions and organizations in the fields of education, industry and healthcare.
During the reporting period, 961 weddings and funerals took place in the district. Of these, 943 were weddings, and another 18 were mourning ceremonies, including ceremonies on the third day, the fortieth day, and anniversaries.
According to the data presented, the total cost of weddings and funeral events amounted to 3,772,000 somoni. The average cost per event was approximately 4,000 somoni.
