The Housing and Public Utilities Committee under the Government of Tajikistan continues to digitalize the utilities sector and introduce modern payment methods, the agency reports.
According to the Committee, in the first half of 2026, as part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the expansion of non-cash payments," measures were taken to develop the digital infrastructure of the public utilities sector.
With the support of financial and credit institutions, subordinate enterprises in cities and regions across the country received and commissioned 520 POS terminals and 71 unified QR codes for cashless payment of utility bills.

Furthermore, by the reporting period, 56 utility companies operating in various cities and districts of the republic were fully connected to the unified billing system. Their operations are carried out using the centralized server complex of the State Unitary Enterprise "Housing and Public Utilities," which ensures continuous monitoring of service provision and customer payments.
The Committee emphasized that the implementation of digital solutions is aimed at improving the quality of public service, developing cashless payments, and improving public utility management.
