On June 29, 2026, representatives of the CIS transport agencies discussed issues of promoting cooperation in the field of transport in the "Russia-Central Asia" format, the press service of the Organization's executive committee reported.
The meeting was held via videoconference with the participation of representatives of agencies involved in the work of the Coordinating Transport Meeting of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Executive Committee of the CIS Coordinating Transport Meeting, joined the discussion.
The meeting participants focused on proposals for the implementation of industry-specific projects and initiatives in the transport sector. The discussion focused on projects planned for both bilateral and multilateral implementation.
The discussion focused on the implementation of agreements reached by state leaders during the Russia-Central Asia summits.
Participants discussed issues of further promoting the development of transport cooperation between Russia and the countries of Central Asia within the framework of existing interaction formats.
