The Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan signed a cooperation plan for 2026–2027 following talks between the heads of the two countries' financial agencies in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan.
The document was signed by Tajikistan's Minister of Finance Faiziddin Kahhorzoda and Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshed Kuchkarov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in economics, finance, trade, and investment. They also discussed expanding cooperation between the relevant ministries of the two countries.
Participants in the talks focused on developing trade and economic relations between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The parties noted the steady growth of mutual trade turnover and the expansion of the range of products supplied. They also expressed interest in further increasing mutual trade volumes and strengthening cooperation in industry and investment.
Faiziddin Kakhhorzoda presented information on the main macroeconomic indicators of Tajikistan and the structural reforms being carried out in the country in the area of public finance management.
The Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan emphasized that the signed cooperation plan is aimed at further developing cooperation between the financial departments of the two countries.
