Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Taalatbek Masadykov made a working visit to Tajikistan from June 24 to 26 at the personal invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the CSTO press service reported.
During his visit, Taalatbek Masadykov reviewed the situation on the southern section of the CSTO's external border. He visited border outposts and a checkpoint on the territory of three border detachments, and inspected the construction of a border road in the remote mountainous terrain of the Shuroabad region.









In addition, the CSTO Secretary General held a meeting with the First Deputy Chairman and Commander of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan, Lieutenant General Murodali Rabjadzoda.
The parties discussed the implementation of the CSTO Targeted Interstate Program aimed at strengthening the Tajik-Afghan border.
