The Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs awarded two residents of the capital for rescuing a 12-year-old child caught in a raging mudflow following a heavy downpour.
According to the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs, on June 20 of this year, as a result of heavy rain on Karatagin Street in the Shokhmansur district, a 12-year-old minor living in the area fell into a turbulent mudflow from a drainage canal and found himself in an extremely life-threatening situation.
At a crucial moment, citizens Usmon Mirzoyev and Bakhtiyor Toshev, demonstrating courage and a strong sense of civic responsibility, immediately came to the child's aid. Thanks to their courageous and decisive actions, the minor was pulled from the mudflow and saved from a potential tragedy.
In this regard, the leadership of the Dushanbe Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs awarded Mirzoev Usmon and Toshev Bakhtiyor with Certificates of Appreciation and valuable gifts.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that this noble act is a shining example of humanism, courage, and high civic responsibility, confirming that concern for the lives and safety of others remains one of society's most important values.
