On June 18, 2026, the 2nd Military-Economic Conference of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held in Minsk on the sidelines of the 3rd International Security Industry Exhibition "National Security. Belarus-2026." The conference was titled "Development of Cooperation between the Defense-Industrial Complexes of the CSTO Member States: 20 Years of Practical Interaction," the CSTO press service reported.
The event was attended by representatives of interested ministries and departments, defense enterprises, as well as other bodies and structures of the CSTO member states.


Conference participants summarized the results of twenty years of cooperation within the CSTO, discussed current issues in the further development of military-economic cooperation, and exchanged experiences in the production of high-tech military, dual-use, and special-purpose products.
Opening the event, CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov noted the organization's interest in giving additional impetus to the development of interstate relations.
According to him, such ties are one of the most important components of fraternal, good-neighborly, and allied relations based on the principles of equality and consideration of each other's interests.
Summing up the conference, Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO, Valery Semerikov, particularly noted the work being carried out within the organization to train personnel for enterprises and organizations of the defense-industrial complexes of the CSTO member states.
He also emphasized that the discussion demonstrated the existence of common and consistent approaches to most pressing global and regional issues.
According to Valery Semerikov, the CSTO countries are interested in the progressive development of both bilateral and multilateral cooperation and are ready to jointly strengthen mutually beneficial collaboration in all areas.
