The Center for Digitalization of the Transport Sector of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan has begun testing an international call center using artificial intelligence technologies. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan.
The creation of an international call center, using the abbreviated number 8808, will streamline the process of obtaining permits, passes, vouchers, and waybills, as well as submitting requests for vehicles for cargo transportation.
In addition, to support users of transport systems, based on paragraph 4 of the protocol of the meeting of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan with drivers of international routes, which took place on April 5, 2025, a chat called "Center for Information Support of Users of Transport Systems" and a bot called "MintransBot" were launched on the Telegram social network.
The Ministry of Transport emphasized that the international call center was created in accordance with the instructions and directions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon.
The department recalled that on October 29, 2024, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the City of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali familiarized themselves with the activities of the State Unitary Enterprise "Center for Digitalization of the Transport Sector" and its call center.
Furthermore, in his Address to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 28, 2024, the head of state declared 2025–2030 the "Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development." The address identified seven priority areas for ministries and agencies to focus on digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies over the next five years.
