The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan held a meeting with the Director of the Islamic International Trade Finance Corporation (IITFC) Adeeb Yusuf Al-Amo as part of the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Corporation.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, the meeting took place on June 16, 2026, in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Tajik delegation at the negotiations was represented by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khokim Khikmatullo Kholikzoda, and the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, head of the Islamic Development Corporation delegation from Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali.



During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral cooperation and gave a positive assessment of the prospects for its further development in areas that are a priority for both sides.
An agreement worth US$10 million was then signed between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic International Trade Finance Corporation in the cotton sector.
On behalf of the Republic of Tajikistan, the document was signed by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khokim Khikmatullo Kholikzoda. On behalf of the Islamic International Trade Finance Corporation, the agreement was signed by the organization's Director, Adib Yusuf Al-Amo.
