A new electric bus route, No. 51, has launched in Dushanbe, connecting the capital's Eastern and Western terminals. This was announced by Dushanbe Transport, the company responsible for organizing and overseeing public transportation in the city.
According to the company, electric bus service on the new route began on June 15.
The route runs along the Dushanbe-Gissar highway and covers several major streets and avenues in the capital. Specifically, electric buses travel along Karamov, Sino, I. Somoni, F. Niyozi, Rudaki, Shokhtemur, M. Tursunzoda, Lokhuti, and S. Aini streets.
The introduction of the new route is aimed at providing transport links between the city's two terminals and expanding the network of environmentally friendly public transport.
The Dushanbenaqliyotkhadamotrason company also reminded that payment for travel on route No. 51 is made exclusively in non-cash form.
