On June 12, 2026, political consultations were held in Dushanbe between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. The talks were chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Idibek Kalandar and Vice Foreign Minister of China Liu Bing, according to the Tajik Foreign Ministry.
During the consultations, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for further expansion of bilateral cooperation.


The meeting participants focused on strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, attracting investment, and developing cooperation in education, science, and culture.
In addition, representatives of the two countries discussed issues of multilateral cooperation, including interaction within international and regional organizations.
Following the consultations, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation and further interaction within international and regional structures.
