Precipitation is expected in Tajikistan on June 4 and 5, which could lead to mudslides and rising water levels in several rivers across the country, according to the press service of the Hydrometeorology Agency of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the agency, localized mudflows are predicted due to precipitation in some areas of the regions of republican subordination, Khatlon and Sughd regions, as well as in the west of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
In addition, water levels are expected to rise in the Isfara, Zeravshan, Obihingou, Vakhsh, Panj, Yakhsu, Kyzylsu (South) rivers, as well as in the rivers flowing down the southern slopes of the Gissar Range.
Due to adverse weather conditions, citizens are advised to take precautions.
