More than 6,000 applicants will participate in the third round of the competition for admission to higher professional educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan under the Presidential quota for the 2026–2027 academic year. This was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The competition is based on proposals from government authorities in 61 cities and districts across the country. The winners of the city and district stages of the competition participate in the third round.
According to the ministry, the competition was organized to distribute 1,670 places under the presidential quota in 18 higher professional educational institutions of the republic.
The department noted that, at the direction of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, the number of presidential quotas was increased this year to 1,670 seats.
The majority of the quotas are allocated to teaching, science, and natural sciences. The ministry emphasized that this demonstrates the head of state's special attention to developing education, strengthening scientific potential, and training specialists who meet modern requirements.
