The Tajikstandart Agency called on vendors and market owners in Dushanbe to refrain from unjustified price increases ahead of the Eid al-Qurbon holiday.
As noted, demand for food products, especially meat and meat products, traditionally increases before holidays. During this period, unjustified price increases are sometimes recorded, which can negatively impact the socioeconomic situation of the population.
To prevent a sharp increase in the cost of goods and to ensure compliance with fair trade regulations, employees of the Trade Department of the Tajikstandard Agency conducted explanatory work with sellers and market owners in the capital.






During the meetings, retail representatives were urged to adhere to trade regulations and prevent unjustified price increases. The Agency emphasized that during the holidays, residents purchase more food for their holiday meals, so price increases can have a significant impact on family budgets.
During the discussions, specialists from the Trade Department also explained to sellers and market owners the need to comply with legal requirements, the importance of preventing unjustified price increases, ensuring trade transparency, and responsibility when providing services to customers.
Special attention was paid to trade culture and the sale of quality goods. The Agency noted that avoiding unjustified price increases is essential for maintaining consumer market stability and providing social support to the population.


Trade Department officials urged market owners to consider the interests of citizens during periods of high demand and refrain from illegal and unjustified actions.
The agency emphasized that conducting such explanatory events helps ensure healthy competition, protect consumer rights, and maintain price stability in the market.
