Tajikistan's Minister of Health and Social Protection, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, met with Mark Eldon-Eddington, Head of Grants at the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, on the sidelines of the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the Minister of Health thanked the foundation's leadership for its ongoing support of Tajikistan's healthcare system in the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.


The parties discussed the global healthcare funding situation and its potential implications for Tajikistan. Particular attention was paid to preparing a funding application for the new 2026–2028 allocation cycle.
The meeting participants also discussed strategic changes envisaged by the eighth grant cycle and issues related to the transfer of the primary role of the Global Fund grant recipient to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan.
In addition, the parties discussed other issues of mutual interest.
Following the talks, both parties expressed their readiness to further expand cooperation.
