A meeting was held in Dushanbe between Khabibullo Nazarzoda, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Sameh Mohamed Fawzi, President of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as the heads of Air Cairo and EgyptAir. This was reported by the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the talks, the parties discussed the development of cooperation in civil aviation, the opening of flights between the capitals and other cities of the two countries, and the launch of cargo transportation.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt.


As noted by the department, the Civil Aviation Agency intends to develop cooperation in organizing regular passenger and cargo flights to the tourist cities of Sharm el-Sheikh and Cairo with the participation of Air Cairo and EgyptAir.
The establishment of flights between Egypt's capitals and tourist cities is expected to facilitate travel for tourists in both directions, and will also contribute to the development of tourism and economic growth in both countries.
The Civil Aviation Agency emphasized its plans to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation with other developed countries and strengthen the international prestige of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The department also recalled that a delegation from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt, headed by Sameh Mohamed Fawzi and the heads of Air Cairo and EgyptAir, arrived in Dushanbe at the invitation of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
