The state visit of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to the People's Republic of China began with a formal welcoming ceremony in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. This was reported by the press service of the Tajik president.
The head of the Tajik state, Emomali Rahmon, was met by the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, who then invited the distinguished guest to the podium of honor.






The official welcoming ceremony continued with the march of the honor guard units, the performance of the national anthems of Tajikistan and China, a review of the officers and soldiers, a display of respect for the National Flag of the People's Republic of China, and the introduction of the official delegations of the two countries by the heads of state.


In honor of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, 21 artillery salvos were fired in accordance with the protocol for state visits.
