More than 800 Khatlon Region police officers have been working since early this morning to eliminate the aftermath of the mudflow near the city of Kulyab. These actions are being carried out in accordance with the instructions of the country's top leadership, according to the Khatlon Region Department of Internal Affairs.
The main goal of the measures taken is to quickly create favorable living conditions for the population and eliminate the destructive consequences of the natural disaster.





At the same time, specialized teams have been brought in to clean up streets, neighborhoods, courtyards, and residential buildings damaged by the natural disaster.
In addition, work is underway on:
- restoration of local infrastructure;
- ensuring normal traffic flow;
- leveling and clearing roads.



Additionally, streets and roads were washed using street cleaning vehicles and special police units. Measures were taken to:
- maintaining a clean environment;
- preventing the spread of pollution;
- improving the sanitary and hygienic condition of the territory.
