In the city of Kulyab, a natural disaster that caused flooding and flash floods damaged residential buildings and supporting infrastructure. Urgent measures have been taken to support the affected population as part of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon's social and humanitarian policies.
The disaster response is reportedly ongoing, with special commissions and headquarters established. Financial assistance has been provided to affected families.
To meet the basic needs of the population, 230 tons of flour, 10 tons of sugar, 10 tons of pasta, 6.5 tons of rice and 6,500 liters of vegetable oil were distributed.
In addition, three field kitchens, dozens of beds and bedding sets, 350 tents, 900 carpets, and more than a thousand sets of children's clothing and shoes have been provided to organize temporary living conditions.
To restore infrastructure and normal living conditions, water supply systems, hundreds of cubic meters of logs, and 60 tons of diesel fuel were delivered. Families were also provided with household items and building materials for the restoration of their homes.
It is noted that these measures are being implemented as part of the state's social policy and are aimed at supporting the population in difficult times. Residents of Kulyab have responded positively to the assistance provided.
The disaster response involves specialized agencies working in coordination and taking necessary measures. It is emphasized that such mutual support reflects a high level of social solidarity.
