The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan announced that, from April 1, 2026, a visa-free regime will be maintained between Tajikistan and Moldova for holders of all types of foreign passports.
The department explained that the agreement was reached following Moldova's withdrawal from the agreement on visa-free travel for citizens of CIS member states, signed on October 9, 1992. The new format of cooperation is aimed at creating favorable conditions for mutual travel between citizens of the two countries.
According to the terms, citizens of Tajikistan and Moldova can enter each other's territory without visas for up to 90 days within each 180-day period.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan emphasized that maintaining the visa-free regime reflects the friendly nature of relations between the two countries and is in the mutual interests of both parties.
