In response to the natural disaster, a meeting of the National Headquarters was held in Kulyab, chaired by Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda and attended by responsible officials. During the meeting, issues related to the aftermath of the disaster were comprehensively discussed.
According to the press service of the Khatlon Region Chairman, the head of government emphasized the need to complete restoration work as quickly as possible and to the required quality, instructing all relevant agencies to intensify their efforts.
It was noted that the Republican Commission has already begun its work and is taking specific measures to determine the full extent of the damage, as well as to restore the damaged infrastructure.



According to officials, approximately 850 families were affected by the natural disaster. Therefore, providing the population with food and basic necessities has been prioritized.
It was also announced that the victims would soon receive one-time assistance from the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, as the situation is under his direct control.
Khatlon Region Chairman Davlatali Said reported on the current situation and the measures taken, noting that all available resources are being directed toward eliminating the consequences of the disaster.
As emphasized during the meeting, work is actively underway to clear the area, restore infrastructure, and provide first aid to the population. Participants also drew on the experience of responding to past emergencies and noted the importance of the Leader of the Nation's support and funding.
The Prime Minister ordered the strengthening of preventative and fortification measures in high-risk areas, as well as the prompt development of projects to strengthen coastal areas and build protective structures.
Separately, the need for year-round monitoring of hazardous areas, as well as the timely provision of fuel, drinking water and electricity to the affected population was emphasized.






At the end of the meeting, Kokhir Rasulzoda expressed gratitude to all services and workers who provided assistance to the population over the past 24 hours and participated in the disaster relief efforts.
The meeting also focused on preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence. It was noted that it is necessary to intensify improvement and development work, expand the construction of manufacturing facilities, and create new jobs.
It was emphasized that, on the instructions of Emomali Rahmon, the country is constructing new production facilities aimed at developing the economy and improving the standard of living of the population.
Following the meeting, issues related to eliminating the consequences of the emergency and the further development of economic sectors were examined in detail, and specific instructions were given for their implementation.
