A series of bilateral meetings on interaction and cooperation development took place in the capital of Tajikistan as part of the Central Asian Security Forum, as reported by NIAT Khovar.
Director of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khayriddin Usmonzoda, held talks with André Algermissen, head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's regional program for Central Asia.
The meeting took place as part of the Central Asian Security Forum "Security Architecture of Central Asia: Contemporary Challenges, Threats, and Strategic Opportunities," which took place on April 30 in Dushanbe.
The parties discussed the current state of cooperation, as well as the format of interaction in the context of the preparation and holding of the Fergana Peace Forum, which is scheduled for September 2026.
Particular attention was paid to the preparation and publication of the Central Asian Security Forum's digest. Participants also discussed prospects for further cooperation between the institutions.
Additionally, Saidmurod Fattokhzod, Advisor to the Director of the Center for Strategic Studies of Tajikistan, met with Ambassador Jonon Musozai, Senior Advisor to the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation. During the conversation, the parties discussed cooperation in the context of the preparation and holding of the Fergana Peace Forum, scheduled for this year.
The interlocutors paid particular attention to the possible signing of a memorandum of cooperation, as well as prospects for further interaction between the institutions.
That same day, Khayriddin Usmonzoda met with Nurlan Dardanov, Deputy Director of the National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, advancing collaboration in priority areas, and maintaining regular mutual visits and contacts.
Particular attention was paid to prospects for further cooperation, including the organization of joint scientific conferences, round tables and expert meetings, as well as the exchange of analytical materials and experience in the field of strategic research.
