National wrestling competitions were held in the Muminabad district to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence, as reported by NIAT Khovar.
The tournament attracted over 30,000 fans and sports enthusiasts. Renowned wrestlers from Tajikistan and Russia took part in the competition.
During the competition, the participants demonstrated a high level of training and skill. Among the distinguished athletes were Sharifjon Nazriev, Mukhammadrakhim Sarakhonov, Komronshhokh Ustopiriyon, Firdavs Nasimov, Saidmumin Shokhmakhmadov, Mukhammadiso Radjabov, Navruz Karimzod, and Ilkhomiddin Jabborov, who took prizes.
The winners were awarded valuable prizes, including cash payments ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 somoni, as well as two cars, which became the tournament's main prizes.
Sharifjon Nazriev from Kulyab won one of the cars, defeating Rustam Khodjaev in the final. The second grand prize went to Mukhammadrakhim Sarakhonov from the Farkhor district, who advanced to the finals after a series of matches and defeated young wrestler Yakubjon from the Muminabad district in the decisive match.
The organizers noted that the competition was held at a high organizational level.
